Gorillaz anuncia novo álbum para Outubro

Gorillaz começou o ano com o “Episódio 1 – ‘Momentary Bliss (ft. slowthai and Slaves)’” – de Song Machine, um conceito totalmente novo. Agora, em seis episódios, Noodle, 2D, Murdoc e Russel visitaram Marrocos e Paris, Londres e Lake Como, enquanto viajavam todo o percurso para a lua, eles estão prontos para trazer para o público a coleção completa.

Intitulado “Song Machine: Season One – Strange Timez”, e com lançamento previsto para o dia 23 de outubro, o projeto prevê versões físicas em CD, vinil e cassete – ainda não confirmadas para o Brasil, incluindo mais 17 faixas na versão Deluxe e box Super Deluxe. Sem esquecer o volumoso e colorido Almanac, um almanaque de 210 páginas, o primeiro anuário do Gorillaz, também ainda sem confirmação para o mercado nacional.

O álbum inclui convidados como Beck, Elton John, Fatoumata Diawara, Georgia, Kano, Leee John, Octavian, Peter Hook, Robert Smith, Roxani Arias, ScHoolboy Q, Slaves, Slowthai, St Vincent e 6LACK, bem como CHAI, EARTHGANG, Goldlink, Joan As Police Woman, JPEGMAFIA, Moonchild Sanelly, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Skepta e, claro, Tony Allen.

O último episódio, “Strange Timez (ft. Robert Smith)” mostra nossos heróis na lua, com Jamie Hewlett pleno e magnifício, girando ao redor do mundo à noite, girando até o sol nascer, uma hora estranha de ver a luz. Confira:
